Sprouts offers Extended-Day programming Early Mornings before full-day or morning preschool.
Sprouts Early Mornings is for 8 students ages 2 years through 6 years from August to May from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.

Sprouts programming draws on our years of experience, our educational backgrounds in Early Childhood Education, and is inspired by Montessori, Reggio, and Waldorf teachings.

At Sprouts we are using art and nature as the foundation for learning, providing environments and projects that promote creativity and a love of nature, and offering extended uninterrupted play periods with open-ended materials for developing wild imaginations, independence, and confidence.

The Sprouts framework is designed as a three-year program within a small mixed-age community in a nature-based outdoor setting for maximum benefits.

Sprouts Late Afternoons extended-day program is for 8 students ages 2 years to 6 years August through May from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

Sprouts means...

Sprouts is magical. We ensure each child gets the time and space to experience all the magic nature shows us each day.
Sprouts is a small school with only 18 students maximum at one time.
Sprouts is play-first - meaning we work to ensure that play is the most important part of each child's day - every day.
Sprouts is process-based in everything we do. Children are involved and in charge of their experience at Sprouts.
Sprouts is outside. In all weather, in all seasons, and as often as possible.
Sprouts is a small community of families. With similar aged-children and similar interests, Sprouts families make friends for life.
Sprouts celebrates nature right where we are - it isn't a place we have to visit. We can appreciate it right in the city - at Sprouts.
Sprouts is open-ended. Our toys, our art, our playground - all designed to allow for creativity and self-expression at Sprouts.
Sprouts is location-led. We are all experiencing and appreciating the nature that surrounds us in central illinois.
Sprouts is intentional. We do not do things by accident - we have planned, scaffolded, and created the environment for children to be independent, creative, and confident intentionally.
Sprouts is DCFS licensed. We are highly qualified teachers with a high quality space and our licensing ensures it.
Sprouts is green. Our eco-friendly practices include composting and compostable dishes (when reusable are not an option), reusing and repurposing, reducing waste and of course recycling!
Sprouts is mixed ages. There is no better way to learn and teach than with others that are NOT same-age peers, which is why all of our classes are children ages 2 - 5.
Sprouts is free-thinking. We are giving kids the chance to take matters into their own hands and form decisions, opinions, and interests on their own.
Sprouts kids are barefoot. Kids are experiencing the world with the soles of their feet while also building tolerance, calluses, balance, and muscle.
